Prawn and Pumpkin curry

Ingredients

  • 2 cup prawns
  • 500 grms pumpkin (cut into cubes)
  • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  • salt to taste

Grind to a paste

  • 6-8 red dry chillis (adjust as per your taste)
  • 1 onion (fried)
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • small ball of tamrind
  • 1 tbsp coriander seeds (fried)
  • 5 cloves garlic (fried)
  • 1 coconut grated (fried)

Preparation

  • In a pan boil the pumpkin and prawns with sufficient water and salt to taste.
  • When cooked add the ground masala and simmer til it comes to a boil.
  • Fry the mustard eeds in a little oil and when they start to splutter add to the curry.
  • Stir well and remove pan from fire. Serve hot with rice or roti.
